The Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex (A combination of the William B. Cooley Health Science and Technology Academy and the Providence Academy of International Studies) is a comprehensive high school in the heart of South Providence in Providence, Rhode Island.  Boasting a Biotechnology program (in conjunction with the University of Rhode Island) housed in a brand new state-of-the-art biotechnology lab and a Community Development Program (with a partnership with Roger William's University), Juanita Sanchez has much to offer both new and prospective students.

An important note about PARCC testing

Students and Parents,

Over the next 3 weeks, all students in Providence will be taking the PARCC and NECAP Science tests.  

Testing begins May 2nd for students in Intro to Literature and World Literatures classes (most students in grades 9 and 10.)  On Monday 2nd, Tuesday the 3rd, and Thursday the 5th, school will start at normal time (7:50) for these students so they can take the test.  All other students will report to school at 10:30.  

On Monday 9th, Tuesday the 10th, and Thursday the 12th, school will start at normal time (7:50) for students in Algebra 1 and Geometry classes (most 9th and 10th graders) so they can take the test.  All other students will report to school at 10:30. 

On Tuesday the 17th, Wednesday the 18th, and Thursday the 19th, all 11th graders will start at normal time (7:50) for science necap testing. All other students will report to school at 10:00.

On a special note, students in Mr. Hynes, Mrs. Medina and Mrs. Paduano’s classes will report at normal time - there will be NO change to their busses.
